POEM about the November 2009 launch

Akayo lifts hearts…

Smiles rapture on spectators’ faces
Over the breathtaking melodies
Unfolded by Akayo singers

November 15, 2009 enters history
As Akayo’s 2nd video album and 9th audio volume
Gets official registration on everyone’s memory disk

Money showers Silver Theater stage over VCDs and cassettes
As five other Mbarara-based choirs spice up Akayo’s launch
Hundreds of viewers applaud Akayo’s thrilling AIDS drama

Mr. Wilson Tumwine, Mbarara municipality mayor, applauds with Shs 0.2 m
Hails Akayo’s theme: ‘HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancies,’
‘Spread this – in synagogues, temples, churches; everywhere.’

‘In all places, God is there; all the time, the same God rules,’

Mr.Tumwine preaches, earning himself a nick-name, ‘Pastor Mayor!’
‘Akayo instills morals among the crowds that attend and listen.’

‘The whole world I call to learn from Akayo,’ Mr. Tumwine remarks;
‘What a challenge from Akayo, 20 video songs in circulation!’
